Q: What's the difference between the Proxy Core Kit and just the Core accessory? The Kit includes the Bluetooth-enabled Proxy base. The standalone Core accessory is sold separately for people who already own the new Proxy base. If you're starting fresh, get the Kit.
Q: Will this work with my original gen-1 Proxy? No. The Core is only compatible with the newer Bluetooth-enabled Proxy base. The chamber collar design changed between generations, and the mouthpiece won't snap on properly with the old base.
Q: Does the aluminum cup get hot during use? It doesn't. The airpath runs only through the ceramic chamber and silicone mouthpiece. The cup is completely bypassed, so it stays cool the whole time.
Q: Do I have to use a terp pearl? You don't have to, but you should. Puffco includes three and recommends a 4mm pearl for best results. The pearl spins when you inhale and coats the heated walls, which noticeably improves vapor production and flavor.
